Julie Austin is a neurodivergent artist and quilter. Her family is French-American, and she actually lives in Loire Valley - France, where she works from her studio not far away from the river.

Textures and colors are central to her work, she particularly enjoys creating layers and marks with wax pastels, oil pastels and acrylic paint that help her to express her relationship with the natural world. Folk arts are intertwined in her practice, as well as tending a little organic garden for everyday food and beauty. Surrounded by plants and animals, her art is an ode to the Earth and the never-ending cycle of life-death-life seasons.

Welcome in her poetic and sensitive world.
